American actor Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. Her first professional appearance was in support roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). In the FX series Dirt she was Willa McPherson, reporter. She also played the supporting role in the show that ran for a short time, The Ex List. She was a part of the young Moira O'Hara during the initial season of FX's American Horror Story, and she played Kaylee in the season's third. She played Jessie Anderson's character in the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie played her character in The NBC show This Is Us. She is also the voice of several characters from the animated comedy series Family Guy. Since 2019, she has starred in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother when she was of 10. The family moved around for one year before finally moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to be interested in acting, singing, and photography at 13. When she turned 15, she moved with her mom back to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career
