Keira Knightley
Knightley was born in London as the daughter of Will Knightley and Sharman Mcdonald. She obtained her first agent at six years old. At that age, she started working in commercials and TV. Knightley portrayed Sabe, a small role in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1998). Her breakout moment came when she played a teen footballer in the sports movie Bend It Like Beckham (2002) in which she went on to achieve the world's attention for her performance as Elizabeth Swann in the swashbuckler fantasy show Pirates of the Caribbean, starting in 2003. In 2003, she starred on the show Love Actually, a romance Love Actually and was called a promising teenager. Knightley was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her role as Elizabeth Bennet in Pride & Prejudice (2005). As well as Atonement as a character, she acted in the role of Georgiana Cavendish who was the popular tastemaker of The Duchess and Anna Karenina's titular socialite. In contemporary dramas, she branched out, appearing as an aspiring singer in Begin Again (2013) and an Medical student as a medical student in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014). Knightley has returned to films of the past acting as Joan Clarke in The Imitation Game (2014) which earned her an award nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress She also played the eponymous writer in Colette (2018).
